Description
In the world of Equestria, humans are constantly battling against each other as empires and kingdoms struggle to be the ultimate rulers. The constant battling and adventures to be had attract many adventurers to try their own luck to explore the world and see what is in store. For some, the experience ends in happiness. For others, death was their only ending. For this group of unlikely souls, it is an everlasting story of trials, tribulations, happiness, sadness and achievement. Forever wandering. Forever fighting. Forever together.

Mernah: Once a princess of the Dragon Empire, she eventually got bored and ran away from home to see what the world truly had to offer her. She is calm and kind, caring for the unfortunate and the unofficial leader of the group. Her leadership skills help keep the group together when things get tough and her patient helps her stand her companions. Her weapon of choice is her scythe which she made from scrap materials she found in a dump. When asked how she got her armour, all she says is that she is a good theft. She met the group when she ran into them on a quest for a lost artefact. Wanting some friends to talk to and work together, Mercah asked to join the group. Since then she used her leadership skills to keep the group together, though this puts her at odds occasionally against Silver Lance, who prefers he be in charge.
Azure: She is optimistic, agile and hyperactive. Always trying to see the brighter side of the problem, she is the morale booster of the team. She originally trained to be a musketeer for the Cartazonon empire so that she could live up to some of her heroes in the stories she read, but while training as a seer she and her best friend Silver Lance escape the city when they found out that the Empire wanted to use her to become a rampaging monster to conquer the world. Since then the two have stuck together and fought all the threats they face side by side. Though she knows how to use daggers and longswords, her weapon of choice is her rapier that her mother gave her. Her agility often means she can slip into places and quickly get back out. She found Samukai and Summerfly when the two were assaulted by thugs. Though Silver Lance and Azure tried to help, it was Samukai that ended up saving them. She made the offer for the two to join them in their adventures, which Samukai accepted. She is also the most accepting of Samukai's behaviour and often tries to keep Silver Lance calm about it, not always successful.
Samukai: The only non-human in the group, he is the workhorse of the team often carrying heavy loads over long distances. Samukai was once part of a group of powerful beings known as the 'Dark Creatures'. Long ago they had roamed the lands freely and lived in communities peacefully. But then the empires around destroyed their towns and used the creatures as labour. Now only a few remain, including Samukai. He is secretly the wisest of the group and knows a lot about ancient languages and cultures. However he rarely speaks to anyone, except for his best friend Summerfly, so he never gets to show this. He is also quite strong willed and not easy to intimidate and will often do thins by himself against what the rest of the team says if he sees fit to do so. This puts him at large odds against Silver Lance, who clearly has a distaste for his rogueness. When he fights he uses his claws, horns, teeth, tails and fire breath, though he usually tries not to fight as he sees no real point in fighting unless Summerfly's sake is that stake.
Summerfly: Tormented and bullies as a child, Summerfly had noone to call friend and was extremely depressed. This led her to be afraid of humans all together as her whole village seemed to be against her every single time. One day her village was attacked by monsters and she ran away, not knowing she would be the only survivor. For days and days she wandered until she met Samukai. He offered comfort and took care of the girl, becoming a father-figure of Summerfly. Despite this, her fear of humans remained strong, though she seems alright with younger and same aged children, and doesn't feel comfortable around them unless she is close to Samukai. Even then she is very shy, timid and quiet. This annoys Silver Lance a lot, who she fears the most out of the group. Mernah is accepting of her presence and Azure is trying to get her to trust humans again, though it is clear that it will take a long time for that to happen.
Silver Lance: The muscle of the group, he relies of brutality and fighting experience to get his way. He was once a knight for the Cartazonon Empire and was trained to be the best warrior ever known. He was taught to be strong and ferocious, never wavering to fear and always be the strong role-model. That all changed when he met Azure and soon learnt how to make a friend. Despite his strong loyalty to the empire, once he learnt of their dark plans with Azure, he took action and the two escape. He is quite impatient and often thinks of the fight first above all else. This puts him at the odds of Samukai's calm and independent approach and Summerfly's timidity and fear of humans. His weapon of choice is his mighty sword that he is quite good at using to take down monsters and bandits. He is the strongest fighter in the group, but not the wisest and he is also the most impulsive.

Alright, this here is a simple picture for a contest. It is of an AU where these characters are either in an anime or a video game. You pick which one. It is my first attempt at anime style shading as well has humans without bases but I think I did a good enough job.
